- The Texas Association of Counties presented an award Thursday
to the Tarrant County district clerk's office for a system that
makes court records available on the Internet.
Since the system
started seven months ago, 341 account have been established for
a fee of $35 each, according to a news release from District Clerk
Tom Wilder.
The system won
the Best Practices Award for the Exceptional Delivery of Services,
the news release said.
"This system
is a win-win situation for those who need to research court records
and who wish to save time and who don't want to come to the courthouse
to look at the paper file," Wilder said in the statement.
His office's
records management program also won a Best Practices Award in 2002.
