He has also served as a member of the RNC National Finance Committee and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for GOP candidates and was a member of the highly successful Texas Finance Committee for President Bush. Tom has also engaged in fundraising for Governor Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott.

Tom's family on his mother's side arrived in Ft. Worth in the 1880s. His great-grandfather was a railroad engineer for 50 years in Ft. Worth.
